book club help

I am a big time nerd and desperately want to be part of a book club! I am thinking starting my own, but really thought it would be fun to join one with people I don't really know. It would be so much easier to talk to a person rather than a dog about books! Any ideas????

Where are you my wonderful, beautiful Friday! I can't wait to feel the sweet freedom of 2:40 when all of my fourth grade babies exit for the weekend. Even though I have no big plans, I am just ready to lounge around. Please come as fast as you can!

the BEST mexican place EVER!

If you ever travel to Charleston, SC there is a Mexican restaurant you must try! Our good friends Lauren and John live on Mt. Pleasant and took us to try Santi's when we visited one weekend. Right when I saw the place I knew it was special. The restaurant is in an old Huddle House that was converted. Talk about awesome! The salsa is fresh and full of cilantro and onion served with thick tortilla chips. The food tastes home made and authentic! We can not go to Charleston and not eat here. Since it was our anniversary we could not think of a better place to celebrate! Dern they should pay me for all this advertisement! hahah

Happy Anniversary to us!

This weekend the hubby and I celebrated our one year anniversary. He surprised me on Friday with a diamond palmetto tree necklace. I was completely shocked since we said we weren't giving gifts! We then went out to dinner with my parents to celebrate since our actually anniversary wasn't until today. Saturday we went to Charleston for our official celebration! It was such a blast. We went on a Fort Sumter tour, visited the aquarium, had drinks at Tommy Condons, and had dinner at Santis. We really enjoyed ourselves. Below are some pictures from the trip!

Get together!

Monday night I had three of my best friends from college over for dessert and drinks. I had some strawberry thumbprint cookies, cake truffles, and cream cheese stuffed strawberries. For our drink, I took frozen orange juice, frozen lime juice, 3 cans water, and half a bottle of vodka! It was so yummy! I really missed these girls, it has been awhile since we all got together. Hopefully it will be a new tradition! Sorry the hubby was already asleep so he couldn't take a pic of us!
